The Chrono is a prestigious time trial event that serves as a qualifier for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships. This fully organized event invites mass participation and takes place on an 11.6-mile (18.7km) sporting circuit with completely closed roads.
The Chrono begins at Kay Park in Kilmarnock, right next to the Burns Memorial. The start area is equipped with a start ramp, sound and lighting systems, professional commentary, and a countdown clock, ensuring a professional race atmosphere.
This event is designed for any rider who wants to experience a professional-level ‘Race of Truth.’ Riders are grouped and start according to UCI Masters Age and Gender Classification.
One of the highlights of The Chrono is its impressive podium ceremony. The top three fastest riders in each UCI Masters Age and Gender Classification will be invited to the podium to receive UGWFS winners jerseys, medals, and other prizes.
